ABOUT OUR CLIENT:

Our client is an industry leading infectious disease laboratory providing accurate, targeted molecular diagnostics. With over 4,000,000 samples processed and a turn around time within 24 hours of sample receipt, our clients technological advances in PCR (Polymerase chain reaction) testing reshape patient care by mobilizing faster clinical decisions and helping providers treat patients quickly and accurately. To curtail the cost of treating resistant infections repeatedly, MP's Client provides a personalized, proprietary Antibiogram, which provides antibiotic resistance gene detection and lists potential antibiotic efficacy.

Due to anticipated demand for this testing and the rapid growth of the organization, they are looking for a Territory Sales Director (TSD) to cover Western Massachusetts and Connecticut.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The TSD is responsible for growth and development of infectious disease testing for Western Massachusetts and Connecticut. The primary focus being outpatient clinics who see a high volume of infections. Duties include targeting new business, onboarding new accounts and servicing existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel throughout assigned territory under direction of the Sr. Director of Sales to call on prospective customers and solicit new and profitable business
  • Presents services, product offerings and value proposition
  • Responsible for involvement with key selling initiatives
  • Drives relationships with customers to leverage referrals and potential to sell new products/ services.
  • Estimates proposal close dates and works with the Sales and Management Teams to align goals, share pertinent information and processes, and support the overall success of the company.
  • Coordinates with the sales team and marketing to find out ways to increase customers.
  • Responsible to meet and exceed individual sales plan numbers each month and annually.
  • Introduces additional service lines to enhance offerings to support clinics.
  • Depending on location travel required up to 50%

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or relevant field of study or equivalent experience
  • Min. 4 years of successful medical sales, specifically 2+ years of recent Diagnostic sales with documented success
  • Must be able to travel 50% of the time
  • Must be located in Connecticut - Territory will cover western MA and CT.
  • Must be able to consider a base salary range: 65k - $75k with a variable component that brings on target earning (OTE) around $200k+ with demonstrated productivity
